Andrew Mark Chapman (nicknamed "Chappers") (born 11 October 1973) is a British television and radio sports presenter. He is BBC Sports' chief rugby league presenter, fronting BBC's coverage of the Rugby League World Cup and RFLChallenge Cup matches.[1] He also does significant football coverage, presenting Match of the Day 2 on BBC One and Sky Sports' coverage of the EFL Cup.[2] He also hosts Sports Report on BBC 5 Live, one of the longest-running programmes on British radio, and the world's longest-running sports radio programme, plus The Monday Night Club.[3] From the 2025–26 season, Chapman will become co-lead presenter of BBC's Match of the Day football coverage, following the departure of Gary Lineker.[4]
Early life
[edit]Chapman was born in Rochdale, Lancashire, but spent most of his youth in Sale on the other side of the city of Manchester. He attended Manchester Grammar School, and during his time there developed an interest in radio, wanting to work for Radio 1 from the age of 13. He went on to gain a degree in French and Business Studies from the University of Hull.[5][6]

Tanya Arnold (born 3 January 1977 [1]) is a British sports journalist and former television presenter for BBC Look North.[2][3] She was a presenter of the Rugby League World Cup 2022.[4][5] In 2012 she joined the Super League Show, as one of Britain's first female sports presenters.[6] She began her career at Look North in 1998.[7] One of her first roles as a sports reporter was covering Leeds United football team.[8]
