I had made up my mind that I was going to make a living from music.
In this interview, we would like to talk to Mr. Naganuma, who was in charge of sound for Sonic Rush.

First of all, can you tell us how and why you joined SEGA?
I have been making music for a long time. I had an artist contract with a certain record company when I was in my late teens and early twenties because of a YAMAHA audition.
I also worked as an artist, writing songs and recording them in the studio.
In the end, though, I did not make my debut.
I also worked as a bartender and DJ at a very famous JAZZ club in Aoyama.
After absorbing jazz and fusion music, I began to think that I wanted to play not only pop music but also film music, and I thought that the closest thing to film music was video games. I had a Saturn at the time and loved games, so I took a chance and sent a demo tape to SEGA.
